If you are reading this blog, you probably know me for my standout outfits in bright colors and patterns. I have a confession though. When I’m looking for comfortable clothing, I turn to Universal Standard. Universal Standard is known for its luxury uplifted basics and high-quality sharp workwear, but have no fear. They do still offer bold fabulousness and the basics you need to use as the base for your colorful wardrobe.
This week, Universal Standard is having an amazing sample. No coupon code need! The annual sample sale tends to sell out quickly, so if there is something you want, scoop it up quickly so you don’t miss out.
Much of my foundational wardrobe comes from Universal Standard. Even Morgan who prefers the more traditional men’s styles quickly stole my Universal Standard t-shirts and of course, jeans too. I always struggle with t-shirts fitting correctly and being the right length.
While Universal Standard’s are pricy, I wait until sales like this one to stock up. No matter how many times I wash (and dry) my Universal Standard clothing they stay soft, don’t shrink and most have absolutely no plying at all two years in!
All Universal Standard clothing is available in size 00 – 40.
The Thames Fog Dress is easily only of my favorite long sleeve dresses. I wore it on my trip to Mexico and wear it throughout the year, no matter the season. In the summer, wear a cropped cami and fitted shorts and it the winter, pair with a long sleeve fitted shirt and leggings. I also love to pair this with a simple tank dress. The Thames Fog shirt and several styles of this dress are included in this year’s sample sale.

Universal Standard foundation items are your core wardrobe essential. Jeans, t-shirts, bandeau tops, bodysuits, turtlenecks crewneck, and even tank and cami dresses. Most of my personal foundational wardrobe comes from Universal Standard. Every color t-shirt is available in all of the styles shown in the above photograph. My personal favorites are the classic t-shirt styles and the bandeau top (perfect for summer.)

Now if you want to look sharp at your workplace, Universal Standard’s workwear is how to do it. I wore a black blouse and wide legs slacks to the first Woman in Auto Care conference I attended. Simple yet makes a big statement. Honestly, it’s the quality and the fit of the clothing from Universal Standard that seals the deal for me. I sized up, not trusting the size chart, and ended up with slacks too big. Don’t be me! Trust the size chart for the perfect pick.

I own three pairs of Universal Standard jeans. They come in three different lengths and a multitude of different styles. You can buy cropped jeans, vintage-style jeans, skinny jeans, and jeans in multiple colors. I own blue jeans, red jeans, and black jeans (although Morgan has claimed those!)
The best part of Universal Standard jeans is their fit liberty program. If you buy a pair that’s part of the program, you can return then for a different size for a year after buying them. That means if your body changes, you don’t need to pay for a whole new pair of jeans.

Ok, we are all spending a lot more time in our comfy clothes, right? Universal Standard has you covered in that department too. Leggings, shorts, bodysuits, hoodies, and more all in super high-quality variation. I love my high waisted US leggings and own their workout shorts and tanks as well.
