I Actually Want to Clean My House: A Spruced Milwaukee Review

I Actually Want to Clean My House: A Spruced Milwaukee Review

I have a dirty little secret. Well, at least a secret that keeps things dirty. I hate cleaning. With a passion. It’s been a challenge I’ve faced for years, but recently, it got just a little bit easier.

My wife and I were moving to a new house and making sure things started off as organized. It was a way to try to take control again and make sure our house became a home. And while my brain understands cars, it doesn’t understand organizing at all.

The Organizers

In came Ashely and Hannah from Spruced Milwaukee. In collaboration with me, the dynamic duo spent four days making my new home feel beautiful. Organized. Put together. At the end of the week, my house felt like a home that I wanted to keep tidy.

They started in my kitchen. Cooking is incredibly important to me, and my kitchen, sacred. It’s how I show my love, build community, and destress.
I’ve struggled with my kitchen space ever since I moved out of foster care. Always living in places with tiny kitchens, always disorganized and frankly, just didn’t ever bring me joy.

The Method

Same pantry, now organized Same pantry, now decluttered
When I finally found a place with a big kitchen, I wanted to turn it into a place where I could be happy and of course, could find everything. Hannah and Ashley helped transform my kitchen, from a place that was always disorganized and in chaos to a place of peace. It’s now the kitchen I have ALWAYS dreamed of.
Spruced Milwaukee doesn’t just organize. They teach you how to make the organizing work for you. They clean from the inside out so that organized clutter doesn’t end up back in dirty cabinets.

When they start, they don’t just find some containers to make things look nice, they actually pull absolutely everything out of the cabinets. Then everything is divided by category, and with Hannah and Ashley’s help, you decide what should be kept and what’s ready to go.

Once everything is sorted, they go and measure all the drawers and cabinets. This allows for planning exactly what type and size of containers will work to make your kitchen the kitchen of your dreams.

And then, they shop. That’s right. You don’t have to find those correct bins or containers. Ashley and Hannah from Spruced Milwaukee make sure they find the best, most thoughtful, and beautiful organizing tools for your kitchen. Once they finished shopping, they came to the house and finished putting everything away in an easy to understand and useful way. My spices actually were reachable!

When it came to our closets, the process was quite similar. They examined all the spaces we had for clothing, emptied all of them, and then organized by colors, types, and how often they are worn.

If you are looking for a bada** duo to organize your home and make just about any place into your happy place, you need to check out Spruced Milwaukee and hire them. Morgan and I are thrilled with the results. And don’t take my word for it, check out the photos!
