My Favorite Formal Looks
Shooting in plus size formal-wear has been a dream. Trust me when I say this blog post is just a small step into this incredible world. Join me as I detail my three recent favorite looks.
Look #1
This dress is a high / low stunner with a plunging lace neckline and details that will make you feel like a queen! This dress is available from Amazon in white and from Nordstrom in blush and in black. Available in sizes 14 – 22.
Putting this dress on made me feel like a goddess. It’s flowy at the bottom and fitted on the top. You get killer cleavage that isn’t sexy per say but more like a romantic look. I love the high / low hemline.
This dress was paired with these fabulous earrings from Nature’s Twist (message them on IG to order) and a simple but glamorous dark purple heel from Nine West.
You can also buy these heels in black, blue and nude here. I love how comfy these heels are and that they go up to a size 12.
Look #2
This Adriana Pappel dress runs big! It goes up to a size 22 on Amazon and a 24 from Nordstrom. I love this blue ink color that I am wearing in this photo. The dress is rushed and gathers at the waist with a beaded detail.
The slip has a slit in it that can be seen through the shear mesh that covers the dress. Really stretchy and comfortable, this is my choice if you hate super fitted waists or dresses that need to be adjusted.
I paired this dress with bold red flats which were comfortable and so stylish. This would be perfect with some red accessories like this bracelet or these earrings.
Look #3
This dress is just as comfortable as a simple maxi but on a whole other level of gorgeousness. Simple, falls a tad past my ankles, this dress is lined and gathered at the waist with slim double spaghetti straps. I paired this with white heels and a fabulous bracelet from Nature’s Twist.
The suit, vest and shirts that Morgan is wearing is custom made by Jill from Custom You Suits in Milwaukee. This suit is expertly tailored in a men’s cut and style to fit a woman’s body.
All photography in this post is by the fabulous Kelly from Kelly McKenna Patterson Photography. We had an incredibly fun time shooting with this talented photographer.
