Although you see loads of posts like this one in February, I think that shopping black-owned businesses all year is important. In this round up, I’m featuring plus size designers, boutiques, and brands throughout the United States that are black-owned.
Don’t have the funds to shop indie black designers? There are so many other ways to support these businesses without spending money, like sharing their content, commenting on their social media posts, and telling all of your friends about them!
Keep in mind I did not discover these brands! Most have been around for years and selling bold, unique and incredibly impactful styles. Black women have led the plus size industry long before the “body positive” movement ever came into being. Let’s give credit where credit is due.
